Folks,
I'm not certain what triggers this, but sometimes, when I pull-down either the "Modify Applied Settings" or "Access commands of currently disabled title buttons" menu via title buttons, the menu items are present and work properly but either there's no text or the text is white-on-white.
Regards, Jeff Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, Retail build

Hello Jeffrey,
- Do the other menus via title buttons (Roll up, Minimze Alternatively) appear?
- Additionally please specify what third-party applications are currently installed at your machine?
- What steps lead to such behavior?

Michael,
When items on one title bar menu aren't displayed, items on all title bar menus aren't displayed. It's all or nothing. Stopping and starting AWM via the option dialog's Action menu restores the visible menu items.
Unfortunately, I can find no trigger for this problem. I'm sure it's not random, but try as I might I can't find a series of actions to reliably trigger it. I'll keep searching, in any case.
As for 3rd party applications, there are many, as you might well imagine. Here's a partial list:
Open Office Firefox Smart Butler (IM text-to-speech) Skype ICQ 2003b (last version of their client to support peer-to-peer actions) Trillian (universal IM client) Taskinfo 7 (task manager) Paint Shop Pro XI (poor man's Photoshop) Mailwasher (external Spam filter) Forte Agent (e-mail client) ESET NOD32 (antivirus) Round Clock (time display) Real VNC (system remote control) Auction Magic (eBay snipe software; special purpose browser) KeePass (password vault) eBay Turbo Lister 2 (special purpose html generator) Nero Burning ROM US Postal Service Shipping Assistant SPFSE (text editor) Wave Pad (sound editor) WinZip SpeedFan (motherboard monitor) Google Earth Putty Telnet FTP ServU (lightweight FTP server) Apache http server 2.2.6 Real Player WinKB (caps lock rationalizer)
There are other minor, rarely-used applications, of course, but that's most of it.
As I say, I'll keep looking for the trigger and I will periodically check the remote, 32-bit Vista brand new system to see if I can find it there as well.
Regards, Jeff

Jeff,
It seems the root of evil is the incompatibility of AWM with some of 3rd party tools from the list you provided. I believe most your problems are resulted from this incompatibility (possibly, several of them) because most of issues you have already reported about reveal on your system only - we have a Vista-compatible version of AWM for a year already, and no one of our customers running Vista reported about such issues yet.
At first glance, the possible troublemakers are:
- Smart Butler - TaskInfo - Mailwasher - WinKB
If it's possible then try to disable those suspects one-by-one and check if the problem disappears. BTW, please don't forget to update your version of AWM to the latest beta 5.
