app is Sage Timeslips. Updated annually but should have been rewritten years ago.
anything to try because i use the app frequently

As I can see, your email regarding this problem has already been replied, and the problem has been confirmed. The workaround is to disable Actual Window Manager extra title buttons in specific settings of AWM for the main window of Timeslips (you need to first).
