The graphiccard of my pc has three outputs. All of them are connected to a Monitor. Now I want to mirror the

content of the monitor(hdmi) to a tv in the next room. Both with the same resolution. Cablelength max. 2m.

This should be done by a hdmi-splitter or alternative by a hdmi-switch (I would prefer a passiv one).

What is the reaction of awm when a splitter/switch is connected?

Does awm recognize the new monitor?

Does a connection to a splitter/switch causes any problems?

What hardware do you recommend?

Thank you in advance.

Regards
Harald

Hello Harald,

Thanks for the post.

I don't remember any problems with splitters/switches.
Actual Window Manager uses standard Windows possibilities for the display recognizing. So if all of your displays are recognized by Windows, they should be recognized by Actual Window Manager as well.
Did you try our "Mirroring" feature (Actual Window Manager -> Multiple Monitors -> Mirroring) to duplicate your displays?

Best regards.

You need a HDMI Splitter to display the same image on multiple HDMI LCD's or TVs. I recommend using an active splitter as passive splitters are known to have major issues. You can check KVMSwitchTech as they offer a wide range of HDMI Splitter solutions that are HDCP compliant.

If you are looking to display the same image on multiple TVs you need a HDMI Splitter. I have used KVMSwitchTech HDMI Splitter units and they work well.
