I tried the new Beta 3 today but it has a new bug that I can't live with when I try filtering a window in Apache Directory Studio. So i tried to go back to the last stable version but it keeps telling me I have Beta 2 installed.
I have completely removed the Beta from the computer and download 8.1.4 from the site. I have not got any auto update options checked yet it still insists I am using Beta 2 and has since expired. SO now i have no idea what's going on or how to use a working version.

Apache Studio Directory.. filter the quick search window (right click on a node, "quick search")
Add a filter to the AWM configuration.
Target Window : 32700
Window Caption : Properties for Quick Search
Resize, width : 1400, height : 720
Press Apply
Quick search no longer appears. Window may be active but not in view.
Remove filter , press appl. Window returns to view.
May be related to bugs mentioned in thread with Total Install?=

Adam, as I can see from your screenshot, you are using Windows 7, right?
Then you should go to C:\ProgramData\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager and delete all the folders you find there. If your OS is installed on another drive (not C:), you should find the similar folder there. After that make sure that Automatic update is disabled in your Actual Window Manager and uninstall it. After that you should be able to install 8.1.4 version properly.

That fixes the reinstall problem!
Hopefully, you can get to the bottom of the missing window

Adam, could you please help me reproduce the problem? I'm experiencing difficulties finding an appropriate sample project for Apache Studio Directory to open it and run a Quick Search.

The issue with resizing windows at startup in 8.2 beta 3 has been confirmed. The workaround is to unmark the Block premature appearance of window checkbox at Actual Window Manager -> Window Settings -> Specific Settings -> [the relevant rule] -> Startup -> Options.
If you try this, please report the result!

The "block premature appearance" workaround allows the windows to open again but no longer resizes it. So the resize is still broken but the filter does enable the window to show.
Unfortunately, I am not able to give you a catalogue login since I am using it on an internal network. I will keep an eye on the thread for testing though if you find the problem is replicable with other applications.
