Long-time user of Actual Virtual Desktops. This has been a thorn in my side for a while (searched the forum and couldn't find any mention). I am trying to run IBM WebSphere MQ Explorer, and most of it renders properly. When I go to view the properties of an object, everything is blank.
It looks like this is an issue with some other virtual desktop software: IBM Support Doc
In my case, I have tried to add an exception for the WebSphere MQ Explorer window . Since the actual executable is java.exe, I based the exception on the window type and title. This did not resolve the issue. I also tried to have the window appear on all desktops, and this didn't resolve the issue.
Finally, I turned off AVD, and the MQ Explorer properties dialog showed up properly.
I sure hope there is a solution, as this is a tool I frequently use.
Thanks,
Dave

Some more info: Version 4.0 OS: Windows 7 x64
Window Logging:
8/20/2012 12:05:03 PM.034 New window Popup Menu #32768 c:\program files (x86)\ibm\websphere mq\java\jre\bin\javaw.exe 8/20/2012 12:05:05 PM.019 New window Default Settings #32770 c:\program files (x86)\ibm\websphere mq\java\jre\bin\javaw.exe 8/20/2012 12:05:05 PM.029 Caption changed Default Settings #32770 WDWSWR1 - Properties c:\program files (x86)\ibm\websphere mq\java\jre\bin\javaw.exe 8/20/2012 12:05:05 PM.034 New window Default Settings #32770 WDWSWR1 - Properties c:\program files (x86)\ibm\websphere mq\java\jre\bin\javaw.exe
I am thinking that the property dialogs are a different window class than the maiin application, and I am going to attempt to exclude those from AVD.

Hello Dave.
Have the exclusion of the properties dialog via the log window solved the problem?
Best regards.
