I'm evaluating Actual Window Manager. So far I liked it. Like many people, I have a lot of older systems and monitors I'd like to leverage. Is there a third-party product, e.g., Synergy, that you know works alongside AWM? If not, I suggest you add the capability to treat a networked computer as if it were an attached physical monitor. If so, I suggest you tout this; I think it would be an appealing combination, especially for corporate customers.

Thanks, TabSel. Have you tried the combination of MaxiVista and Actual Window Manager or are you guessing it should work? It does sound like it would. Since MaxiVista seems to impersonate a graphics adapter, AWM shouldn't be able to tell that it isn't. Versus Synergy, which looks like it uses a different approach.
On the other hand, Synergy is free, and MaxiVista costs as much as a low-end USB graphics adapter would, which we know will work smoothly with AWM.
