There's no difference when you start AWM in administrator mode. The only way to avoid displaying the white search field is to switch off the search function in system taskbar. The vertical position of the startmenu with AWM depends on the height of the system taskbar.

Could you try to change different options of the system taskbar for example Auto-hide, location, button. Does it influence the situation with the vertical position of the AWM taskbar Start menu?

When the system taskbar is on top then the awm startmenu appears on the left botton of the desktop. The white searchfield is not visible. But there's a difference if you open the startmenu by win key or mouse click on taskbar. When open by taskbar all is ok. You can open the startmenu on every monitor and it appear on the left botton on every monitor. When you use win key the mouse moves to monitor 2 and the startmenu on mon 1 or 3 is closed immediatly.

Harald,
I can't find your configuration files, could you send it again?
Could you also create a new clean user account in the system and try to reproduce the issue under this account?

Hello, Harald.
The issue has been finally confirmed. The wrong position of the Start Menu is triggered by the Auto-hide option of the AWM taskbar.
We'll try to fix it. For now as a temporary workaround you can disable this option.
Best regards.

How do I disable auto-hide of the taskbar for version 8.8.3?
I've been having the same huge taskbar problem for awhile at work and it just started today at home. The only things that I can think of that are similar between the two are my AMD Catalyst Drivers (I noticed there was an old preset in there and removed it) and Dell Display Manager, which I have listed as an Exclusion.
Any further insight would be awesome.
Windows 7 64-bit, both computers. Run library from installation folder on both. Both computers recently were upgraded from Dual Dell P2414h monitors to Dual Dell U2415 monitors (went from 1920x1080 to 1920x1200). I removed all profiles in AMD Catalyst, and all profiles in AWM. When I right-click taskbar I can see 'Auto-Hide' I just don't know how to make it go away.. unless you just mean uncheck it right there... if that's the case this whole email was for informational purposes.
Thanks for everything you guys do! I couldn't live without this level of control!

Hello, Greg
What taskbar do you have this problem with? With AWM taskbar or with the system one?
Could you clarify, what is the problem with auto-hide? Taskbar hides everytime and you can't disable auto-hide? Or you disable it and then it enables again after you start and close AWM?
