I want to confirm this problem still exists with Firefox 26.0 and Actual Window Manager 8.1

Yes!!!
I'm not sure which one did it but the combination of upgrading to Firefox 27 and upgrading to AIM 8.1.1 has fixed the long standing Firefox roll up issue.
I don't know which did it as I upgraded both before noticing.
But all that matters is it now works as expected, and all is right with the world again.

Now just for nostalgia they brought back this feature in 8.1.2 but this time only for explorer windows 
Seriously updated from 8.1 to 8.1.2 and now my explorer windows roll up like the pic in Charlies first post. Gone back to 8.1 for now.
