I was wondering if there is a way to apply rules to the standard open/save file dialogs of windows, or do they have to follow the host application's specific settings?
When selecting the target window, AWM doesn't seem to make a difference between the two.

Oh, any of them, take notepad. I was especially thinking about title buttons.

I might not want title buttons on the open/save dialog, if I want to use another utility such as "filebox extender" that adds buttons to the open/save dialogs to browse for favorite/last visited folders etc.

Hello Nonhocapito,

Thanks for the response.

What OS are you running (version, x32 or x64)?

What Target Window pane settings do you use to get Specific settings for the "Save" dialog of Notepad?

Best regards.

OK Notepad was a bad example because I never use it, really. :)

I have tried to set specific settings for the open/save dialog of several applications, such as outlook, flash, photoshop, word etc, dragging the target window crosshair on top of the dialog, but it is always recognized the same as the host application.

I guess this is reasonable on a principle, I was just wondering if there was a workaround.

To answer your questions, I have Windows 7 x64, and those apps mostly have certain title buttons set specific to them, that I'd rather not have in the open/save dialog.

Hello Nonhocapito,

Thanks for the response.

Could you send me your configuration files (Actual Window Manager -> File -> Send Configuration -> Send to the Tech Support) with specific settings for one of these open/save dialog boxes (as an example with Word, if you do not mind)?

What version of MS Office do you use?

Best regards.
