Hi, I was looking for a way to play a game on 1 monitor and use other monitors to do other stuff. My setup is 3 monitors + TV. I use 3 monitors for work and play. TV is for watching movies, etc and is disabled when I'm at the desk. A user on UltraMon forums posted a link to How to Play StarCraft 2 on Dual Monitors: Tips and Tricks. I was reluctant at first to try another multi-monitor program, as I've bought and used Ultramon for years now and it did all that I needed. At first glance the article was about exactly what I wanted to achieve. I kept reading on about the AMM and then AWM. I guess spending another $50 on AWM would be ok, as it has a bunch of features that I like.
Anyway, I downloaded and installed AWM. Tried playing Fallout 3 and using Ignore Deactivation - no go. I tried it 2 ways: Running the game in fullscreen mode: the mouse does NOT leave the monitor, it is stuck in a game monitor and I cannot move it to either of my other 2 monitors. Alt-Tabing minimizes the game. Running the game in windowed mode: same thing, mouse does not leave the game window. I tried Alt-Tabing: game does not minimize (good), but the mouse is gone. When I alt-tab from the game, the keyboard switches to the active application, but mouse stays in the game window! ffs
Is this the problem with the game itself and not the AWM? The game is Fallout 3 (GOTY) with lots of mods, running from Steam. Just for the kicks, I launched Portal 2. And it freaking works! When in menu and mouse is used to "point" and not to control the movement of the player, it works flawlessly. I can move the mouse around all 3 monitors. So once again, is this a problem on game-side?
Thanks in advance.

Found a solution. Fallout3 probably was locking the mouse. Just in case someone else runs into this problem with this game: go to Fallout.ini and change option bBackground Mouse=0 to: bBackground Mouse=1
This solved the problem. Now it works as it should.
PS: AWM is awesome. Already loving it. Gonna buy when trial ends. One little hiccup - some weird behaviors using desktop profiles, but I'll get into that at some later date, coz now - I'm playing f3...

Hello cryodream,
Thanks for the post.
Could you clarify what problems have you noticed using desktop profiles?
Best regards.
