You're right, the issue still persits.
We haven't managed to fix it yet. By the way, the issue seems not to be on our side, it's due the perculiarity of the Word 2003 window.

Another approach to this problem:
Could we please have an option to exclude certain window classes from the "Scroll inactive window under mouse pointer" feature?
This way, problematic or incompatible programs could be excluded and handled by other (third party) tools like for example .
