Enabling the feature to have windows startup on the monitor with the mouse pointer results in windows initially flashing up on another monitor, and then jumping to the monitor with the mouse pointer.
It's pretty distracting, but I understand if it's a feature that can't be overridden. I'm guessing it might have something to do with Windows, and that perhaps it's unable to be overcome with AWM? Or is there something I can do to stop the "fake"-out window jumping?

Hello Steve.
Create the specific settings for the particular window (program, class of windows). It has the "Block premature appearance of window" option, which does exactly what you want.
Best regards.
