Greetings to all,

I'm an AMM subscriber and I've come across an interesting issue. At random times, the desktop in my primary display "slips" down. Slips is the only word that I can use to describe the issue. I'll be working on something (in this case it was a Power Point, but it's not limited to that) and all of the sudden all entire desktop (not the wall paper, but icons and open windows) slips down to about the bottom 1/3 or 1/2 (random, but always less then 1/2) of the screen. If I go in to the AMM properties and change a setting, I get the apply button and then everything goes back to the top of the display.

While this is happening, I have tried re-sizing a window and it snaps it back down to where it was before. Next time this happens, I'll try and take a screen cap and upload to the thread, but has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks,

Tom

*EDIT* That didn't take long. Attached 2 images. #1 shows what happens to the windows. #2 is the desktop.

Hello Tom.

What version of Windows 7 are you running - 32 or 64-bit?

Are you running any third-party desktop management software?

What is your monitor layout and what monitor have you noticed the problem with?

Best regards.

64 Bit Windows. No 3rd party desktop mgmt

It happens with either a 2 or a 3 monitor setup. I have them configured in a 3, 2, 1 (from left to right) setup. I have 2 types of monitors. At home I have Acer's, at work I have Dells, but I have noticed it on my integrated monitor on my Dell laptop too. Doesn't seem to really do it other then on monitor 1.

Thanks,

Tom

Hello Tom.

Do you mean that it always happens with the primary monitor?

What version of AMM are you running?

Please try the latest beta AMM 4.3 beta 2.

Best regards.

No good, as a matter of fact it's even worse. Now instead of a random time, It starts as soon as AMM loads and slips down the screen row by row. Also, it's no longer on the primary window, it's on the 2nd and 3rd displays...

But when I uncheck "Enable Multi-Monitor Taskbar", the issue stops. So it seems to be directly related to the taskbar which is the whole reason why I own the product.  :(

*EDIT* I have a video that shows EXACTLY what is happening. How can I upload it to you? It's about 135 meg cause it's showing 3 displays, I might be able to get it a little smaller.

Cool feature under tools that shows all the relevant data...

Sorry, I didn't answer your question.

You know how you have your Monitors 1, 2 and 3 (in my case it's 3 at work and 2 at home), but in the version before it was always the primary monitor. In this latest version it's monitors 2 and 3 that seem to have this slippage.

Thanks,

Tom

I'm not talking about the monitor's number, I'm talking about which monitor is set to be the primary and which is the secondary etc.

In your case Monitor 1 is primary, right?

Are you able to upload this video to some video hosting service and give us a link?
